Hobert H. Johnson, 81, of Wolfsville, Md., died Friday, May 25, 2012, at his home.
Born Oct. 16, 1930, in Wolfsville, he was the son of the late John W. and Rosa C. Lewis Johnson.
Hobert retired in 1988 from Jamison Door Co. in Hagerstown after 30 years of service.
He enjoyed spending time outdoors.
Hobert is survived by his wife, Lois Johnson; son and daughter-in-law, David and Jill Johnson of Hagerstown; beloved grandson, D.J. Johnson of Smithsburg; stepgrandson, Cody Hagins, serving in the U.S. Air Force; brother, Elmer Johnson of Wolfsville; sister-in-law, Edith Brashears of Hagerstown; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Hobert was preceded in death by six brothers and one sister.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, May 29, 2012, at 11 a.m. at Grossnickle Church of the Brethren, Myersville, with Pastor Donna and Pastor Tim Ritchey Martin officiating. Burial will be in the adjoining church cemetery.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church.
