Lillian Marie Dofflemyer, 71, of Mill Street in Fort Loudon, Pa., entered into eternal life surrounded by her family on Thursday, July 14, 2011, at Chambersburg (Pa.) Hospital.
Born Tuesday, Jan. 2, 1940, in Hagerstown, Md., she was the daughter of the late Preston Leroy Sellers Sr. and the late Ethel Marie (Flohr) Sellers.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl McClelland Dofflemyer, in 1996.
She was formerly employed by L'Aiglon, Dorbee's and E.J. Fennel, in the snack bar, where she helped her mother.
She formerly attended Fairview Allegheny Wesleyan Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday school and Bible school for many years.
Lillian enjoyed yard sales, "The Price is Right" game show, NASCAR, especially Mark Martin, and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her daughters, Barbara Ann Patterson and companion, Edwin Baker, of Fort Loudon, and Pamela Jean Grubbs and husband, Clyde, of Greencastle, Pa.; sisters, Jane Rosalie Nese of Hagerstown, Doris Hornbaker of Big Pool, Md., Mary Jacqueline Snook of Clear Spring, Md., Esther Kay Topper of Hagerstown, and Bessie May Mills of Clear Spring; one brother, Preston Sellers Jr. of Hagerstown; granddaughter, Christina Marie Patterson of Fort Loudon; grandsons, Alexander Earl Grubbs and Lance William Grubbs, both of Greencastle; numerous nieces and nephews; and special feathered friend, Mickey.
She was preceded in death by a half-brother, Bobby Kline.
Memorial services will be Monday, July 18, 2011, at 1 p.m. at Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd., Hagerstown, with the Rev. Carl Sipes officiating.
The family will receive friends Monday one hour before services at the funeral home.
