JAN. 25, 1924-FEB. 28, 2011
PEORIA, Ariz. — Marjorie Enid Steiner, 87, of Peoria, and formerly of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., went on a new journey with angels on Feb. 28, 2011.
She was born to Marada Rader Greenhill and Irvin Musser on Jan. 25, 1924, in Cumberland, Md. She was raised by her mother and many loving aunts. She attended Catholic school until moving to Hancock, Md., where she graduated with the class of '42 from Hancock High School. During her younger years, she worked at Fairchild in Hagerstown, was an avid jitterbug dancer and attended college.
On Sept. 14, 1942, she married the love of her life, Jack Steiner. They settled in Hancock, where they raised their children, and later retired in Berkeley Springs.
She was a devout Catholic and a true little Irish blessing.
Marjorie is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth (Betsy) Steiner Johnson, and son-in-law Richard, of Peoria; and six grandchildren, Jackie, Amy, Lance, Brandy, Michael and Eric. She also leaves behind five great-grandchildren.
"Mom Mom" loved time with her family, friends, and, of course, her Yatzee games. It is now with a heavy heart that we say our good-byes, but we're happy knowing she joins her family that has passed before her; her mother Marada, husband Jack, daughter Patricia Ann, whom she will finally get to see and hold, and her loving sons, Gregory David and Ronald Lynn.
A memorial Mass will be held Saturday, March 5, at 10 a.m. at St. Joachim and St. Anne Church, 11625 N. 111th Ave., Sun City, Ariz.
Final resting place will be with her family at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, Hagerstown, at a later date.
