Mrs. Mary L. DeLauder, 69, died Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2012, at Visiting Nurse Association Hospice House in Vero Beach, Fla.
Mrs. DeLauder was born in Jamestown, N.Y. She was the daughter of the late Robert and Ester Harrington, and was a resident of Sebastian, Fla., for nine years, coming from Hagerstown, Md., and Greencastle, Pa.
Mary was a 1960 graduate of North Hagerstown High School.
Before her retirement in 2003, she was a well-loved phlebotomist for Chambersburg Hospital in Chambersburg, Pa.
She was an active member of Sebastian Elks Lodge EL-DOEs 2714 in Sebastian, and a past president for two consecutive years from 2008 to 2010.
Mary enjoyed working with needlepoint.
She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Charles M. DeLauder of Sebastian; son, Michael T. Ocker and his wife, Rebecca, of Greencastle; daughters, Sheri L. Obitts of Sebastian and Stephanie A. Ocker of Greencastle; stepson, C. William "Bill" DeLauder and his wife, Sharon, of Fleming Island, Fla.; and eight grandchildren.
A memorial/celebration of life service will be Thursday, Dec. 13, 2012, at 2 p.m. at Sebastian Elks Lodge 2714, 731 S. Fleming St., Sebastian.
At Mary's request, memorial contributions may be made to VNA/Hospice Foundation, 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32960 in memory of Mary L. DeLauder.
Arrangements are entrusted to Strunk Funeral Home, Sebastian.
