Michael Phillip Barkdoll, 71, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., formerly of Hagerstown, Md., died Monday, Aug. 20, 2012, at his home in Tri-Lake Park.
Born May 4, 1941, in Hagerstown, he was the son of Constance Eileen Miller Barkdoll of Carrollton, Ga., and the late Leo Newton Barkdoll.
He graduated from high school in Osceola, Fla.
He served with the U.S. Marines Corps from Sept. 3, 1959, until his honorable discharge on Aug. 30, 1963.
He retired as a lineman with Bell South.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by one son, Anthony Barkdoll and his wife, Mattee of Athens, Ga.; one daughter, Tracie Tooker and her husband, Kiah, of Phillips, Maine; one sister, Sharon Blankinship of Hiram, Ga.; five grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one brother, Terry Barkdoll.
Services and interment will be private.
Arrangements are being handled by Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 95 Union St., Berkeley Springs.
