Philip Lynn Kersh, 55, passed away Saturday, Feb. 11, 2012, at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Born Dec. 5, 1956, in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late Homer and Virginia (Moyer) Kersh.
He retired as a plumber from the Montgomery County Board of Education.
He is survived by one daughter, Jamie Lynn Kersh of Williamsport; one son, Kevin P. Kersh of Boonsboro; four brothers, Joseph Kersh of Star, Miss., Ronald Kersh of Frederick, and James Kersh and Paul Kersh, both of Hagerstown; four sisters, Susan Kersh of Hagerstown, Nina Fritz of Sharpsburg, Mary Landers of Hagerstown and Dixie Kersh of Funkstown; and three grandchildren, Troshaud Barrington, Sierra Kersh and Dakota Kersh.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Philip Jason Kersh; and a brother-in-law, Glenn Fritz.
A memorial service will be Saturday, Feb. 18, 2012, at 11 a.m. at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown, with the Rev. Clark D. Carr officiating.
The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Philip’s name to Hospice of Washington County, 747 Northern Ave., Hagerstown, MD 21742
