Sandra “Sandy” A. Bunker, 59, of Sharpsburg, Md., and formerly of Arnold, Md., passed away peacefully on Sunday, Nov. 4, 2012, at her home after a courageous battle with brain cancer.
Born Oct. 3, 1953, in Annapolis, Md., she was the daughter of the late Charles and Pauline (Crider) Funkhouser.
Severna Park Senior High School.
She was a member of Victory Baptist Church in Boonsboro, where she was a former Sunday school teacher and sang in the choir.
Sandy worked for 38 years for the Federal Bureau of Investigation as a research analyst supervisor.
In her spare time, Sandy enjoyed Scouting, camping, horseback riding, hiking, biking, and, most importantly, she loved being with her second family, her church family.
Sandy is survived by her loving husband, Daniel L. Bunker of Sharpsburg; and a son, William “Billy” Bunker, also of Sharpsburg.
A celebration of Sandy’s life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012, at Victory Baptist Church, 8014 Old National Pike, Boonsboro. The Rev. Edward J. Wade will officiate.
