Susan Kelly Schultz, of Hagerstown, 1945 to 2011, died Monday, Aug. 8, 2011, surrounded by family and friends.
She was born in Washington, D.C.
Susan attended Northwood High School, Western Maryland College, and graduated from the University of Maryland with a Bachelor of Science in psychology. She worked for Blue Cross Blue Shield for multiple years, took time off to start a family and later returned to the workforce as an employee of both Red Lobster and Citibank.
Susan was a very creative and artistic person. Her talents included beautiful handwriting, designing unique crafts and a venture into sales with Longaberger. She was passionate about love, life, laughter, movies, the Peanuts, Winnie the Pooh and "Burn Notice."
Susan was a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister, friend and human being with a beautiful heart. Susan possessed a unique and special quality of making others feel welcomed, loved, heard and at ease. Her sense of humor and quick wit always provided a lively and fun atmosphere.
Susan was preceded in death by both of her parents, Robert G. Kelly and Mildred B. Kelly, and her husband, William Leroy Schultz Sr.
Susan is survived by her daughter, Kelly Lynn Schultz and daughter-in-law, Sherry Michelle Berliner; her two stepsons, Chris Alan Schultz Sr. and William Leroy Schultz Jr.; her sister, Jane Kelly McClellan, and brother-in-law, Robert McClellan; and her honorary daughter, Angelique Grace Sites. Susan leaves behind many relatives and friends to cherish her memory.
A celebration of Susan's magnificent life will be held Saturday, Aug. 13, 2011, at 1 p.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown.
