Power company shouldn’t estimate bills

To the editor:
This is in response to Tom Wilhelm’s letter in Monday’s (Jan. 7, 2013) Herald-Mail.
I have to agree with him that the power company doesn’t read the meters the way they should be read. I made a phone call to the power company about my bill being too high. I was told by the woman there that they have to estimate the bills because, according to her, they don’t have enough meter readers.

I told her that she needed to tell her supervisor about the problem, and that the company needed to resolve the problem that it was having with customers. I think it’s about time that we stand up and stop these companies from making guesses on our bills.
