God and emergency crews were with my grandson
To the editor:
The young man who was struck by a vehicle on Pennsylvania Avenue was my grandson. Thanks to God and wonderful people, he was immediately transported to the shock trauma center in Baltimore.
He received the best of care after suffering cuts, bruises and broken bones. His response to medication has been miraculous. Doctors were surprised and happy. Does this tell us something? You bet it does. It tells us God is still on his throne with Jesus beside him reaching out to all mankind, healing with those nail-scarred hands. Listening to every prayer.
One of the main ingredients to help us cope with life’s struggles is belief. I believe for every drop of rain that falls a flower grows.
Thank you and God bless all who responded to this accident with love, and care and prayer. Let us continue to pray, tell Jesus everything. He is the only one who can handle it all.
We learn to take one day at a time. Jesus, I just want to thank you. Thank you for being so good.

Obama and his media helpers are ruining us
To the editor:
Solyndra went belly up after a half billion dollars from the Obama Administration had been invested in its survival. They and the “useful idiots” in “their” media claimed “Bush was involved with this very same company.” In point of fact, the Bushies looked into that company, advised they wouldn’t touch it with a 10-foot pole and predicted it would go broke by August of 2011; that occurred September of 2011.
When the gun-running operation into Mexico known under the Obama Administration as Fast and Furious blew up in their faces and Agent Terry was tragically assassinated with our firearms, they claimed, along with “their” media that Bush had started the same program. Bush did not, of course.
That operation was called Operation Wide Receiver and unlike Obama’s fiasco, the Mexican government was told what we were doing; the guns were actually tracked to see which drug lords were illegally buying the arms and many were incarcerated. As soon as the Bush administration discovered the criminals had finally figured out the tracking devices and removed them, the program was halted. Obama reinstated it.
Though the recession ended in 2009 (before, incidentally, a dime of Obama’s stimulus billions were spent) he is still blaming this pitiable economy on Bush.
He claims Bush is largely responsible for the national debt. Although Bush added $5 trillion in debt in eight years, Obama has wrung up $6 trillion in debt in 3 1/2 years. The media never challenge this outrageous claim. Instead, they allow him to crow in speech after speech after speech, that he is the most frugal president ever to come down the pike. Come again.
His transportation czar has just claimed that “without Obama’s stimulus money, who would have thought there would be a green Lexus two years ago?” Duh? Practically everybody who pays attention to those things. The “green Lexus” has been a reality for seven years. He should have been laughed out of the auditorium.
Because they know “their” media never challenges them, are they just dishonest? Crooked as a dog’s hind leg? Are they diabolically clever? Or just plain stupid?
