Hagerstown Professional Firefighters PAC endorses five for council

To the editor:

The Hagerstown Professional Firefighters PAC has chosen five Hagerstown city council candidates to endorse in this year’s upcoming city election on Nov. 6.

After months of deliberation and candidate meetings, Don Munson, Lewis Metzner, Kristin Aleshire, Penny Nigh and Martin Brubaker are receiving the PAC’s endorsement. The candidates’ experience, commitment to excellence, and their strong public safety policies have merited this endorsement.

The Hagerstown Professional Firefighters Local 1605 established the Hagerstown Professional Firefighters Political Action Committee in 2012.

Its purpose is to educate, support and inspire its members and the community to be active in the political process while endeavoring to educate members of local government in the various aspects of the fire service, and to endorse those candidates who support a strong public safety policy.
