Did you know that since 2001, there have been 2,000 troops killed in Afghanistan, and 5,000 murders in the town of Chicago during the same time period?
Must be safer in Afghanistan than Chicago, huh?
Do you think 5,000 murders in Chicago have anything to do with good values? Me neither!
I thought maybe in Chicago they might be inclined to embrace that “love thy neighbor” concept that Cathy probably talks about as well. But then again, I guess that’s another value that Chicago has forgotten in consideration of the homicides.
When I think about our youth of tomorrow and I look at Chicago, I see a rampant mix of gangs throughout the various city districts. I’m sure their education program is top notch as well, at least in how one might not graduate and become a gang member instead.
I wonder if Chicago’s good values support that travesty as well.
How is your education program really doing, Mr. Mayor?
I’m sure the mayor and council could be solving some of their many problems instead of criticizing Chick-fil-A so much.
Chicago values? No thanks, I’m leaning toward those values of Chick-fil-A management.
No objections to building a Chick-fil-A franchise in Dargan either.
I suppose, too, that the ACLU must be so busy trying to dismantle those crosses throughout our country they have little time to write a letter of protest to the town of Chicago for this blatant form of discrimination.
Never mind, pretty soon the ACLU will begin representing Christians because they will be the new minority, and penalized and persecuted because they are different.
In the meantime, a Dargan matriarch and this writer will be dining at a Chick-fil-A restaurant near us.
At least we’ll find a few remaining “values” at that stop.
