“This is a comment to the brainiac Republican in Clear Spring who thinks the Republicans are so smart. So if they’re so smart, why, when they voted in all these Republican governors in all these states that are trying to stop people from voting, and ... the people that’s in Washington right now, the Republicans, try to take away your Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid. And they’re also trying to take away the women’s rights to vote. So how smart are you Republicans now?”

“This judge Scalia on the Supreme Court, I don’t know who he thinks he is, but he’s got a lifetime job, good salary, all kind of benefits, and he’s telling the ... lawyer (who) works for the White House, does he expect him to read this 2,700 pages for this medical law? Well, I don’t know what his job is, but I’d say yes, 2,700 pages with all the time they got on their hands is not that big a job. So I figure it this way, if he don’t want to do his job, then step down. By the way, I think he was appointed by a Republican president.”

“Just heard on TV that there’s not enough beds for the illegals that are caught coming across the border to sleep in, so they’re releasing them, a lot of them, only keeping about 10 percent of them. That’s all the beds they have. Well, why not make them sleep on the ground in a prison camp somewhere? They slept on the ground when they were sneaking over into our country.”

“Did anybody hear about President Obama sneaking a talk to somebody overseas, some Russian guy, telling him that if he gets elected for the next four years he’ll help out about the missiles and all that stuff? So see, he does stuff behind the U.S.’ back which people don’t hear, and you know, I did 20 years in the military, and I’m glad I didn’t have to serve under this guy. And also, everybody talks bad about the Republicans running. Right now, I’d probably vote for Pee Wee Herman just to get rid of this guy we have in there now, because he is bad. He is not for the U.S.”

“I wish that the people that are running for office, political office, would stop calling and leaving messages for me to vote for them. Who I’m gonna vote for is my choice, and quite frankly, they need to brush up and be better people running. But they should not be calling over the weekend, especially on a Sunday. “The district manager of the USPS wrote a letter to this paper stating the mail system is back on track. I’ll take his word for it. I ordered a package from Kentucky and got it two days later. Let’s keep our fingers crossed the mail system is fixed.”

“I read in the March 12 paper about the caregiver stealing money from an elderly person, and they should not be given any access to these bank accounts. This should be handled by the children, but you find today that lots of children do not want to call, visit, or take care of the elderly people and their elderly parents. There are some good caregivers, though.”

“I’ve asked some questions of our local officials, and I can’t get any answers. Maybe someone that contributes to Mail Call can answer them. The county administrator, when was that job created, and why? I’d also like to know why, if we have these elected county commissioners, why isn’t the county administrator an elected position? I’ve asked these questions, and everybody just like turns away or ignores me. I’ve found that in this area that when you ask questions of your officials, they try to steer you away or give you somebody else to talk to. I can’t get any answers.”
