“This is in regards to a letter on Thursday, Aug. 2, about teachers getting more money for the job they’re supposed to be doing. First of all, this money is being paid to these teachers and administrators for participating in a specific program to make them better qualified at what they do. Second of all, the county has no control over this money. This money comes from a grant, not taxpayers’ general fund. So they need to have a better understanding.”
