“Herman Cain has made a number of claims about who is responsible for all of his problems. If he really wants to see who is responsible for his problems, all he has to do is look in the mirror.”

“What is the legal age limit for deer hunting in the state of Maryland? I could not believe when I saw an article in the Nov. 30 issue of The Herald-Mail that read a 7-year-old girl killed her first two deer, one in Washington County and one in Garrett County.”
“Wednesday’s paper had four pictures of kids with the deer they shot. Kids are 14, 13, 12, and yes, a 7-year-old girl. I have no problem with hunting deer, but I’m not sure I would hand a 7-year-old a gun to shoot deer. I have a concern about safety, for one thing, and a 7-year-old just seems too darn young.”

“This is in reference to the woman who wanted to know where she could send her empty pill bottles. She can call Washington County AMVETS. The ladies auxiliary takes them and sends them overseas to doctors.”
“Justification on why a doctor’s office can make you sit in the waiting room for an hour, and then another half-hour half-naked in the examining room, but if you show up five minutes late for your appointment, they make you go home and make another appointment? Give me a break. Who do they think they are?”
“Riding today by the old YMCA building and looking at it sitting there empty, couldn’t this be used to fill — maybe some — most of the churches in the Hagerstown area would get together, pool their money, buy the building, make it a homeless shelter for — even families, but make it a homeless shelter. It’s in an ideal location. It could be a place where they could have — they could be during the day when it’s cold. Couldn’t somebody get together and start a program to take this building and use it for the homeless?”
“I enjoy seeing the young hunters with their trophies. It’s good to see them enjoying the outdoors and harvesting deer meat for the family table.”

“Well, I see where our county commissioners are going to spend another 100-some thousand on the new airport. ... That runway has been in now for over two years, and I have yet to see a big plane come in that way. The little ones still come in the other way, or come in where the yellow lights are, but none come in where the white lights are. I think it’s a great big white elephant for the county, and it’s going to continue to cost us money as we go.”
“After living in the state for a good many years, and moving from West Virginia over here, I’m still also wondering why we need two tags on a car. The only thing I can figure is, they can get you coming and going, your license number.”

“I’m calling about the three pictures of the deer that were shot and killed, in today’s newspaper, which is Wednesday, Nov. 30. I find it very offensive to open my newspaper and stare at dead animals. This is the third time you’ve done it in the last month or so. It was a dead deer first, then a bear, and then three dead deer. You can give commendations, recommendations ... you can publish articles without us having to look at the dead deer. The children’s fine or the adults is fine, but leave the dead animals out of the picture.”
