“I’m just recalling the glory days, when this nation had two political parties, Democrats and the Republicans. Now we have the Democrats and their surrogates, who used to be called Republicans. They have forsaken their base, caved in on the debt ceiling, caved in on taxes, caved in on more, more and more unemployment compensation, caved in on ... disgraced themselves, and will never be a power again. They might as well just fold the tent, join the Democratic Party and continue being the wimps that they are.”

“Here we go again. The city wanted to buy all of those buildings on Antietam Street to build a ball stadium, and they said they didn’t have the money, and needed to borrow from the county. Now they turn around, they want to buy a former motel and everything that’s downtown, and renovate it and turn it into a parking lot. Instead of them borrowing money from the county general fund to build a ball stadium, why don’t they just use the money that they got and buy it, instead of putting more parking lots and college campuses and build more? I’m dead against them borrowing any county money to build a ball stadium, or state money to build a ball stadium.”

I think all these businesses should pool their money and build the stadium themselves. Let them worry about upkeep and all the other expenses required to maintain a stadium.”

They want someone who will lead, maybe without a gun, but with an angry voice.”
