“I keep calling you people and telling you about this scam, about where the people call and say that they’re getting bad things on their computer from yours, and they’re from the state bank and they’re from the FBI and all these places. Well, today I got one, and they asked for my daughter, and said that her computer was sending them bad information. Well, she lives clean into Martinsburg. And when I asked them why they called her, they said her computer was sending them a bunch of wrong information. And she doesn’t own a computer, either. So it’s a big scam.”

“Well, I hope all you people who voted for King Obama are happy. As I recall, he was supposed to be on the side of the working class. He was not going to raise taxes on the working class, because he was going to tax the rich. So now the new year has started and the average working person is paying $50 to $60 more in taxes. So nothing has changed. The working class gets taxed more so the ones who do not work can get more. But what I don’t understand is where are all of the news people who should be reporting this to everyone?”

“It’s a shame that four counties and Baltimore City control our fate in Annapolis or in the U.S. Congress. We will never get the proper representation as long as the election process is the way it is. A change is needed. Maryland is the No. 2 worst for business and No. 5 in taxes, and I don’t see it getting any better. A retiree can only give so much money to pay for those who want the freebies (welfare, food stamps, unemployment). It would be a change if Western Maryland and the Eastern Shore could move to Virginia, where we could get a better living and better representation. It’s got my vote.”

“This is about the speed cameras. The only people who are upset about the speed cameras are the speeders. How refreshing it is to come in Northern Avenue, past the schools, and people are driving the speed limit. I have always driven the speed limit everywhere I go, so I’m not upset about it. “It was so nice a day on Saturday — made only nicer by four ... who thought that it was appropriate to sit in the parking lot at St. James Brethren Church and fire off their guns for an hour or two. These people don’t live in this neighborhood, and though they may go to the church, they weren’t interrupting their family’s peace and quiet on a weekend day. I’m sure their wives wouldn’t have wanted them sitting in the backyard with their friends, firing off guns.”
