“I have to agree 100 percent with the Washington County caller, about the 3-month-old puppy being shot. It seemed a little hard to believe, that a 3-month-old puppy would be vicious.”

“Suggestion for next Christmas: You have had butterflies and hot air balloons in downtown Hagerstown. Why not have some decorations made to hang from the light poles, like we had years ago? This could be done in the same manner as the butterflies and balloons. It sure would beat the advertising signs hung on the poles now. While I’m at it, why not add some color lights instead of all white lights? A small parade would be nice. I remember seeing the parade, then going to The Maryland Theatre to see some Christmas cartoons.”

“To the caller complaining about the delivery person leaving packages without getting a signature: You need to specify signature required when you order the product. Otherwise, they can leave it on your doorstep.”

“Last week at the takeout order place ...  I started to talk to the couple seated next to me. We talked about the new stadium, and how Hagerstown used to be at Christmas. They told me that my order would be ready in about 30 minutes, so I went over to  store to look around. I always need something. When I got back and asked what my tab was, I was told that Santa Claus said to tell me ‘Merry Christmas,’ and that the couple seated next to me had paid my bill. Thank you, and Merry Christmas.”

“About the gun law: Guns don’t kill. It’s the people that carry the guns that kill.”
