I live in Falling Waters, but I lived in Washington County for most of my life, and believe me, there are plenty quality-of-life things to do in this area. Just to name a few: Parks, nature and hiking trails, outdoor sports, museums, organizations to join, historical sites to visit, educational opportunities, libraries, churches, shows, The Maryland Theatre, special events. I’m sure the residents of Washington County can add many more activities to this list, and I hope they will. Let’s hear from you, Washington County people. “I’d like to respond about the fees. This is on hunting and boating fees. I’m not questioning the boating fees, but I’m questioning the hunting fees. I see where the state of Maryland wants to raise hunting fees, but you know something, you’re not going to get out-of-state hunters to come to this state because the fee is too high now. You don’t see any deer to shoot in the first place. In the western part of Maryland ... you can’t even find deer to shoot at anymore, because of all the doe you have been shooting. Anybody who needs 36 deer in one year has got to be nuts anyhow.”
