“In response to street cleaning, I have driven down those streets. If the people had more pride, they could get a bunch of young people together on a Saturday, put gloves on them, and clean your own street. That’s what I do. Be proud of where you live, even if you have to do it yourself.”

“You know, if we did away with the billions-of-dollars subsidies that we give to the oil companies, so they can brag about how much profits they’re making, we could use that money toward the post office, and have Saturday delivery yet.”

“Today, two American soldiers were killed in Afghanistan (allegedly) by an Afghani police officer. But if you watch the nightly news, or even the Fox News, that’s not the first story. In fact, it comes late into their news cycle. Instead they’re talking about the pope. Well, I’m sorry, but most Americans aren’t Catholic, and most people in this country don’t care who the new pope is. But when Americans are being killed every day in a 12-year-old war in Afghanistan, I think people ought to be told.”

“This goes out to the caller who was calling in about the taxes on rifles and ammo. I’m a hunter of 20 years. That’s going to not help the economy. I’d say going to hurt it. You got steel producers and all. You’re going to put them out of business. Raising taxes isn’t going tomake money. It’s called get them cigarettes that they’re complaining about, that two-packs-a-day smoker, raise hers. “We are soon to find out if the Boy Scouts of America will show their integrity and continue their choice to deny homosexuals positions. This current left-wing, socialist regime is hell-bent on destroying the BSA, the Mormon and Amish faiths, and other establishments that preach hard work, honesty, accountability, and don’t expect government handouts.”

“To The Herald-Mail and to the reporter doing the Gibble’s article on the 12th: Nice article. Hats off to the family-owned business that used to have it. They did a good job here in the area. Let’s hope they keep Gibble’s restaurant open.”

“I don’t have a big problem with people using their historically tagged ... vehicles every day, even though they’re not supposed to, by law. My main problem when they do that are the ones who either drive like they’re crazy, with these beat-up old pieces of junk that don’t have any restorative value at all, they’re unsafe, they’re loud, they’re usually followed by a cloud of blue smoke, which means the motors are ... but these vehicles I think should be taken off the road or made to comply with the way the law is written for those type tags.”
