Thumbs Up, Thumbs Down - Oct. 27

Thumbs up to Lee Snyder, who is hosting blood drives in memory of his late wife, who died in 2001 from a rare blood disease she had since she was 8 weeks old. The most recent drive, in Kearneysville, W.Va., pushed him past the halfway mark of the 500 units he hopes to collect for the American Red Cross.
