( Jacob Langston, Orlando Sentinel / February 19, 2011 ) Kevin Carter holds his 4-year-old son Landon at the official stitching ceremony of The National 9/11 Flag in Ocoee on February 19, 2011. Local heroes had the chance to add stitching to the large flag that is made up of a flag from the collapse of the World Trade Center and stitched back together years later by tornado survivors from Kansas. It is currently on a journey across America to honor the 10-year anniversary of 9/11 and to recognize local heroes. |
