Spanish golf legend Seve Ballesteros was a world No. 1 player, five-time Major winner and a five-time Ryder Cup winner as a player and as captain of the European Tour's Order of Merit. Here he holds aloft the Claret Jug after winning the British Open played at Royal Lytham and St Annes Golf Club in Lancashire, England. Ballesteros, named by Golf Digest as the greatest European golfer in the game, died May 7 in his home in Spain of a brain tumor.
