M224 60mm Mortar

The M224 provides long-range indirect fire support to airborne, air assault, light infantry, mountain and special-operations forces. It is a high-angle weapon used for close-in support of ground troops, capable of hitting targets slightly over 2 miles away. Used by: 4-25 Airborne Brigade Combat Team (U.S. Army Alaska)
