Red Cross blood collection workers and nurses will not strike this week as previously planned. One full day into negotiations with the Great Lakes chapter of the American Red Cross, union representatives from Office and Professional Employees International Union Local 459 and Teamsters Local 580, rescinded their strike notice that was set to begin Wednesday, Sept. 21.
