Inland seas

The educational schooner Inland Seas, based in Suttons Bay, sails into Little Traverse Bay and Petoskey, Thursday afternoon. The ship will be docked at the Petoskey marina over the weekend and will offer a free public sailing program 9 a.m. Monday, Aug. 13, in Petoskey and one at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 14, in Charlevoix. A few openings remain for these hands-on sailing programs, that teach about the Great Lakes ecosystem, and can be reserved by calling (231) 271-3077.
