Cruzan's Coconut Old Fashioned with coconut water ice cubes

The Old Fashioned is typically made with brandy or whiskey, but Cruzan Rum took over the recipe to celebrate National Rum Day, August 16.


2 oz. Cruzan Single Barrel Rum
1/2 oz. Simple syrup
3 dashes Bitters
Coconut water ice cubes

To make coconut water ice cubes, strain the pulp out of a can of coconut water, then pour the water in an ice-cube tray and freeze it.
For garnish and flavor, cut a swath of orange peel and press it to the bottom of a rocks glass. Add the rum, syrup and bitter, then the coconut ice cubes. Stir the mixture.
