South The Choice As Preseason #1

The staff of the Alaska Sports Broadcasting Network has voted South Anchorage the preseason number one team in its large schools football poll.  South is coming off a 3 and 5 season in 2010, which constitutes a down year for the Wolverines.  However, John Lewis returns about a half dozen starters on defense and junior quarterback Zach Lujan.  South edges Bartlett for the top spot.

Soldotna is the ASBN's choice for number one in the small schools poll, over Kenai.  The prep football season kicks off this Friday, August 12th.
