1991 - Chris Swanhorst scored 31 points and Roberta Sparling and Nicole Akin added 19 each as Northwestern rolled to an 86-40 high school girls' basketball victory over Ipswich. Becky Gauer led Ipswich with 18 points.
1996 - Carrie Feser scored 15 points and Lindsey Fliehs contributed 11 as Groton topped Webster 53-31 in a high school girls' basketball game. Groton improved to 4-0 with the win.
2001 - Steve Finley hit a pair of doubles and drove in four runs and Randy Johnson allowed two earned runs and struck out six over eight innings as the Arizona Diamondbacks defeated the Colorado Rockies 7-3.
2006 - Phil Nevin and Torii Hunter drove in two runs each and the Minnesota Twins moved to within a game of American League Central-leading Detroit with a 6-1 victory over the Cleveland Indians.
2010 - Nick Alberts passed for 193 yards and four touchdowns to lead Langford to a 44-22 high school football victory over Wolsey-Wessington.
