1987 -- Northern State snapped a five-game losing streak, scoring seven runs in the fifth inning of the second game of a baseball doubleheader to defeat Dakota Wesleyan 10-1.
1992 -- Fred Couples shot a final-round 70 and finished with a 275 total for a two-stroke victory over Ray Floyd in the Masters golf tournament. Couples earned $270,000 for the victory.
1997 -- Pat Meares cracked a go-ahead, three-run homer in the fifth inning and Chuck Knoblauch added three hits to Minnesota's 12-hit attack as the Twins earned an 11-6 victory over the Kansas City Royals.
2002 -- Jose Valentin and Ray Durham each homered and drove in two runs to lead the Chicago White Sox to a 5-2 victory over the Baltimore Orioles.
2007 -- Joey Jangula, Jamie Link and Brett Lorenz recorded singles wins while Jangula teamed with Link for one doubles win and Lorenz paired with Mike Holkesvik for another to lead Aberdeen Central to a 5-4 high school tennis victory over Pierre.
2011 -- Spencer Sudbeck, Dillon Naumann and Shane Cunningham combined to drive in seven runs during an 11- run sixth inning, helping Presentation to a 13-10 victory over Minnesota-Morris in the second game of a college baseball doubleheader. The Cougars won the opening game, 5-4.
