1991 - Jeff Richmond drove in four runs in first game and Dan Stier had six RBIs in the second game as Circus-Wendy's-Coke swept an amateur baseball doubleheader from Dahme Construction, 13-1 and 20-3.
1996 - Matt Reich scattered four hits and struck out 11 batters as the Aberdeen 13ers defeated Jamestown, N.D., 8-2 in the first game of a doubleheader. Brandon Harvey had three hits and drove in three runs and Josh Petschke had two hits and three RBIs as Aberdeen won the nightcap 11-0.
2001 - Rapid City native Becky Hammon scored 16 points to lead the New York Liberty to a 67-53 Women's National Basketball Association victory over the Seattle Storm.
2006 - Michael Young hit a two-run triple off reliever Trevor Hoffman to lift the American League to a 3-2 victory over the National League and extend the AL's win streak to 10 games in major league baseball's annual All-Star game.
2010 - Carlos Quentin homered twice and drove in five runs and Andruw Jones added a home run and four RBis to lead an 18-hit attack for Chicago as the White Sox bombed the Kansas City Royals 15-5.
