1986 - Jim Griffin and Jeff Turner combined for 50 points to lead Northern State to an 88-81 victory over Dakota Wesleyan. Griffin had 30 points and Turner finished with 20.
1991 - Doug Vietor scored 20 points to lead five players in double figures as the Northern State men opened their basketball season with a 98-73 win over Mary. Donny Godel added 18 points, Scott Peiper 15, Tim Ahartz 14 and Jay Kusler 11.
1996 - Tia Michalski of Willow Lake scored 20 points to lead her team to a 68-36 win over Warner in the State B girls' basketball tournament semifinals. It was Warner's first loss of the season.
2001 - Brian Griese threw a TD pass to Dwayne Carswell, Mike Anderson scored on a short run and Jason Elam kicked four field goals as the Denver Broncos handed the Dallas Cowboys a 26-24 National Football League setback on Thanksgiving Day at Texas Stadium.
2006 - Chris Grey scored 29 points and Al Ward had 21 to lead Dahme Construction to a 79-70 Men's City League basketball victory over Sudlow Construction.
2010 - Jodi Reinschmidt tossed in 20 points and Mikayla Barondeau and Krista Rabenberg added 10 points each to lead Northern State to a 63-53 college women's basketball victory over Chadron State.
