The 2012 North Central Kansas League All league football team was announced and the Wamego Red Raiders, once again, ruled the coop.

The Red Raiders, who marched undefeated through NCKL play in 2012 had three members named First Team NCKL on the offensive unit, and four members named First Team NCKL on the defensive unit for a total of seven selections.

Two other teams, Clay Center and Concordia, also had three offensive selections but Concordia only had three defensive selections and the Tigers only had two.

The NCKL had three teams advance into postseason play with Abilene, Concordia and Clay Center. Concordia defeated Abilene in the opening round while Clay Center was eliminated by McPherson. Concordia advanced to the second round but lost to Buhler in the regional finals.

Offensively for Wamego the Red Raiders were represnted by three seniors with Marshall Wethington getting a nod at quarterback, Dakota Turner earning a wide receiver spot and Dan Jensen earning a spot on the offenisve line. Defensively for the Red Raiders they had three seniors and a sophomore. Nathan Pageler and Logan Stroddard got nods at linebacker, Alex White earned a spot on the defensive line and sophomore Kyler Alderson was named as the kicker.

Concordia, which finished second in the NCKL standings with a 4-1 record, had two seniors, Gabe Bergman (TE) and Derek Pearson (OL) and one junior Skyler Hittle (OL) named to the offenisve unit and three seniors named to the defensive unit. Defensively for the Panthers Gave Bergmann was named to the defensive line, Brentin Hake was named as a linebacker and Trevor Nordell was named as a defensive back.

Chapman, which was 3-2 in NCKL action, had two honorees on the offensive unit in senior Kyle Anderson on the offensive line and junior Logan Lexow as a running back. Defensively the Fighting Irish had two seniors named as Tyler Harris was named as a defensive back and Zach Heiman was named to the defensive line.

Clay Center, which went 2-3 in NCKL action, had two seniors and a junior named to the offensive unit and two seniors named defensively. Offensively Clay Center had senior Caleb Carson get a nod at quarterback and punter while junior Austin Fleming, a junior, was named to the offensive line. Defensively Clay Center had senior Ryan Blake named as a linebacker and Carson was named as a defensive back.

Abilene, which went 1-4 in NCKL action, had two seniors named First Team offensively and one senior named First Team defensively. Nolan Berry was named to the offensive line and Andy Wilson was named as a quarterback. Dathan Parks got the nod defensively as a defensive lineman.

Marysville was unable to earn a single NCKL victory in 2012, going 0-5, but the Bulldogs did land one player on the All NCKL list as James Landoll was named All NCKL as a defensive back.
