Joel Caleb – WR
High school: Clover Hill (in Midlothian). Height/Weight: 6-foot-4/215 pounds.
College situation: Considering scholarship offers from Virginia, Virginia Tech, Georgia, Alabama, Oklahoma, Ohio State, West Virginia, Florida State, Penn State, Notre Dame, Florida, North Carolina, Tennessee, Maryland and Indiana.
Why he made the Fab 15: He has played quarterback since his sophomore year, and passed for 1,343 yards and 20 touchdowns last season as a junior, while adding 843 yards rushing and eight touchdowns. Yet, his size and ability to break tackles has made him an attractive target as a wide receiver prospect.
Alex Carter – CB
High school: Briar Woods (in Ashburn). Height/Weight: 6-1/189.
College situation: Committed to Stanford.
Why he made the Fab 15: If his bloodlines (he's the son of former Notre Dame and 9-year NFL pro cornerback Tom Carter) weren't enough to make him a top-level recruit, his 4.4-second speed in the 40-yard dash and intelligence (over 4.0 grade point average) did the trick. He has been on the radar for college programs for quite some time, picking up his first verbal offers as a sophomore.
Eli Harold – DE
High school: Ocean Lakes (in Virginia Beach). Height/Weight: 6-4/217.
College situation: Considering offers from U.Va., UNC, Florida, Virginia Tech, Louisiana State, Ohio State, Penn State, Arkansas, West Virginia, Miami, Tennessee, N.C. State, Maryland and Vanderbilt.
Why he made the Fab 15: There's a good chance his versatility could mean he ends up playing linebacker in college. He earned first team All-Eastern Region honors last season as a defensive end after finishing with seven sacks, and made second team All-Beach District at wide receiver, where he had 34 catches for 543 yards and seven touchdowns.
J.C. Coleman – RB
High school: Oscar Smith (in Chesapeake). Height/Weight: 5-7/170.
College situation: Committed to Virginia Tech.
Why he made the Fab 15: Though he may not be the biggest running back, he's one of the most productive at the highest level of high school football in the state. In the last two seasons combined, he has gained 2,801 yards rushing. He also sports a 40-yard dash time of 4.42 seconds, making it clear why he's the only running back on this list.
Korren Kirven – DT
High school: Brookville (in Lynchburg). Height/Weight: 6-4/267.
