14 - In 3A state volleyball semifinals, North Hagerstown beats Bel Air 3-0.

16 - In volleyball state finals, North Hagerstown sweeps Centennial 3-0 for second straight 3A title, Smithsburg sweeps Perryville 3-0 for its fourth straight 1A championship.

17 - In JFK 50 Mile, Max King, of Bend, Ore., and Ellie Greenwood, of Canada, prevail with course-record times.
