Teagan Stephenson shot an 81 to win by five shots at the WACO Juniors’ third Beaver Creek Classic this season.
Matt Snowden took second with an 86, while Scot Drury was another shot back in third.

Williamsport Nationals traveling to nationals
The Williamsport Nationals 17U junior leagion baseball team won the Potomac Junior Legion Summer Classic over the July 4th weekend, and will play in the NABF World Series in Knoxville, Tenn., beginning on July 20 with opening ceremonies. The team is seeking sponsors for financial help to cover expenses, including food and shelter. The team also will raffle off two Hagerstown Suns season tickets for 2012 during the “Day In The Park” event Saturday from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. at Funkstown Park. Spirit week of fundraising for Mountain Express track club
The local Mountain Express youth track and field club will have a spirit week of fundraising events next week to raise money to help send 20 of its athletes to AAU Junior Olympic Nationals in New Orleans July 30-Aug. 6.
On Tuesday, July 19, there will be a Zumbathon at the Hagerstown YMCA from 6-8 p.m. The club is asking for a $5 donation from each participant.
Thursday, July 21, will be Spirit Night at Jersey Mike’s restaurant at 18015 Garland Groh Blvd. in Hagerstown from 5 p.m. to close. Fifteen percent of meal purchases will go to the Mountain Express.
On Friday, July 22, there will be a fish fry and chicken wing dinner sale from 5-10 p.m. at the Elks Lot on W. All Saints St. in Frederick, Md.
On Sunday, July 24, there will be a car wash by donation and grilled hot dog and hamburger sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Autozone at 17714 Virginia Ave. in Hagerstown.
