Herald-Mail football prognosticator Big Sydney (September 5, 2012) |
I have to apologize for my picking profile of late.
Don’t start. I know someone out there is saying I should be apologizing for my profile, period. My shadow looks like the letter D.
I’ve been scarce because I had been working hard for this weekend. I had been training and haven’t had much time for football.
I never knew how grueling it was to get ready for an event.
It started innocently. I saw a flyer for this weekend’s event and thought I would be a shoo-in to win.
My training started lowly and worded it’s way up to this point.
I started with a good run of Breakfast for Champions.
I had scrambled eggs and bacon, followed by pancakes and grits and oatmeal with fruit. I followed with a Belgian waffle and a three-egg omelet. Topped off the workout session with a half dozen donuts, bagels, lox and cream cheese with a biscuits and sausage gravy chaser.
It was time to cool down after that session. I went to the Fat Cave and started looking at game films while munching on some popcorn.
It wasn’t long before I came up for brunch.
In my second training session I had corned beef hash, french toast and some scones. I wasn’t very manly because I had some quiche and was a traitor with some eggs benedict.
I finished it off with a waffle panini and an iced coffee to wash it down. I had some sticky buns, but used a napkin to take care of the problem.
Time for another cooldown period. I played Rock, Paper, Scissors to pick my winners for this week’s action.
Then it was time for lunch.
I started out with a Lunchable, followed by a bowl of chili, some soup, a ham sandwich, a sub, a couple of burgers and fries, some chicken nuggets and topped it all off with a salad.
I have to watch my diet.
After taking a break to go out and watch Boonsboro practice, I came home to have dinner.
It was training table time.
I started with some mac and cheese, pasta salad and some spaghetti. I had chuck, pot and rib roast. There was sirloin, T-bone and New York Strip steaks with baked potatoes. I added some meat loaf and a bucket of chicken.
