Williamsport’s opening-game shooting touch was off, and the Wildcats finished 21 of 52 (40 percent), including 0-for-13 beyond the arc.Christy had 17 points, Arnone had 12 points before fouling out with five minutes remaining, and Nick Johnson, a 6-3 senior, also had 12 points along with 13 rebounds in his varsity debut.
“(Nick) is going to only get better with game experience and help us,” said Mowbray, whose Wildcats open their home schedule tonight against Frederick.
Thursday’s victory was the first time Broadfording has beaten Williamsport in Clutz’s nine years.
