Williamsport senior Lauren Johnson won the 300 in a meet-record 42.25, breaking the mark of 42.65 she set as a sophomore.

“I was aiming for that,” Johnson said. “That was my goal, to do that and try to help my team win the meet overall.”

She did her part, also placing third in the 55 (7.57) and contributing to the winning 4x400 and second-place 4x200 (1:53.44).

The Williamsport girls also got victories from Morgan Oyster in the shot put (36-4 3/4) and Lizzy Willis in the 500 (1:24.96).

Other champions included Smithsburg’s Zane Gardenhour in the boys 55 (6.88) and Boonsboro’s Gerick Allen in the boys shot put (44-7 3/4).
