Blazers’ Repp commits to HCC
Clear Spring senior Devin Repp has committed to Hagerstown Community College for the 2011 fall season.
Repp, a four-year starter and two-year captain for the Blazers, had seven goals and six assists last fall, helping lead Clear Spring to the Maryland Class 1A West region final.
Repp, who finished his career with 15 goals and 20 assists, was twice an All-Washington County and All-MVAL Antietam first-team selection and also was twice named his team’s MVP.

Smith signs with Ashland
SMITHSBURG — Smithsburg senior Derek Smith, a 5-foot-10, 170-pound tailback and safety, signed a letter of intent to continue his career at Ashland (Ohio) University.
Smith, an All-Washington County first-team selection last fall, averaged 6.0 yards per carry as a tailback and made 65 tackles and recovered three fumbles as a safety for the Leopards. He also averaged 23.0 yards per kickoff return and 21.0 per punt return, scoring a touchdown with each.
Ensminger signs with VMI
GREENCASTLE, Pa. — Greencastle-Antrim senior Denton Ensminger, a 6-foot-2, 250-pound defensive lineman, signed a letter of intent to continue his career at Virginia Military Institute.
Ensminger had 65 tackles and two sacks for the 11-1 Blue Devils last fall and earned Pennsylvania Class AAA All-State first-team honors.
