BRIEF
Suns players looking for housing
The Hagerstown Suns are offering a way to keep empty bedrooms from staying empty for the summer.
The Suns are promoting a Host Family Program for households that can offer a place for a player to live during the season.
Over the last several seasons, three or four families have provided housing for Suns players and the drive has been launched to identify more. Often, five or six players are forced to share the same apartment because of the low salaries they earn.
The Washington Nationals have successfully implemented the program at their other affiliates.
For information or to sign up, go to the community tab at hagerstownsuns.com, visit the Suns’ Facebook page or call the Suns at 301-791-6266.
