Schlossnagle named top coach
SAN DIEGO — Texas Christian baseball coach Jim Schlossnagle was named Mountain West Coach of the Year for the sixth consecutive time.
Schlossnagle, a Smithsburg High School graduate, guided the Horned Frogs to a No. 7 ranking in the national poll and their sixth consecutive Mountain West regular-season title with a 20-3 record.
It is the seventh time Schlossnagle won the Mountain West’s coaching award. Besides the six with Texas Christian, he also won the honor in 2003 when he was coaching at UNLV.
