PREP BASEBALL
WILLIAMSPORT — Boonsboro returned from Wednesday’s game suspended by rain and let loose with the bats for a six-inning, 13-1 MVAL Antietam win over Williamsport on Thursday.
Riley Stephenson had a two-run home run in the fifth and Brian Cibula added a three-run home run in the sixth for Boonsboro (8-9, 6-6). Gunnar Whipp and Scott Bennett had two doubles each and Stephenson drove in four runs.
Zach Lucas hit a solo home run for Williamsport (9-8, 6-6) in the first inning Wednesday before the game was halted.
