Beaver Creek players win
SILVER SPRING, Md. — Bernie Deane and Steve Ligi represented Beaver Creek Country Club with a victory on Tuesday in the Washington Metro Golf Association Four Ball Championship.
Deane and Ligi combined for an 8-under-par 62 on the 6,300-yard Argyle Country Club course. They won the event by one stroke.
Beaver Creek’s Chuck Thatcher and Chris Taylor shot a 67.
In the Senior Four Ball event, Beaver Creek’s Ken Kasai and Bill Calhoun were second with a 69 and Finley Benjiman and Bill Kushay tied for third with a 70.
