County wrestlers at PSU Mont Alto
MONT ALTO, Pa. — Four of the 16 incoming freshmen on the Penn State Mont Alto wrestling team were on The Herald-Mail’s All-Washington County first team as high school seniors this year — Kenneth Burrs and Duncan Yeisley from North Hagerstown, Aaron Rowland from South Hagerstown and Chase Scott from Smithsburg.
Tyler Warner, a standout from Waynesboro, also is set to join the team as a freshman.
Nathaniel Proce, an all-county second-team selection for Boonsboro in 2010, will return as the only sophomore.
GOLF
Hole-in-one
Tom Larkin scored the first hole-in-one of his career, using a 7-iron to ace the 153-yard, 17th hole at Black Rock Golf Course.

BRIEF
Youth Sports Safety Clinic
Safe Kids Washington County, in partnership with Meritus Health, will host a Youth Sports Saftety Clinic on Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon at The Newman Auditorium (Suite 142) at Robinwood Professional Center, located at 11110 Medical Campus Rd. in Hagerstown.
The goal of the clinic is to provide coaches, parents and athletes with information and skills that will lower the risk of sports injuries, emergencies and illnesses.
