BURTONSVILLE, Md. — Arthur Thomas posted a triple double with 19 points, 17 rebounds and 12 blocks for Highland View Academy in a loss to Spencerville.
Justin Osoro had 16 points and Luis Mendoza had 12 points for the Tartans (1-3).

Spikefest set for Saturday
The Washington County Juniors volleyball organization will once again conduct the Spikefest all-star event for high school seniors and eighth-graders on Saturday at South Hagerstown High School.
The eighth-grade match will kick off the evening at 6, with the high school seniors game following at 7:30. Admission is $3.
Senior all-stars are Boonsboro’s Shelby Griffith, Shelby Wallace and Rakel Wilson, Clear Spring’s Sarah Blickenstaff and Sarah Elwood, Grace Academy’s Jessica Gladhill, Hancock’s Elizabeth Teeter, Heritage Academy’s Kara Stamper, North Hagerstown’s Lauren Serafini, Peyton Wallech and Jessica Wivell, Smithsburg’s Haley Caudell, Emily Seward and Jordyn Smith, South Hagerstown’s Hayley Freeman, Ashlyn Hinkle and Victoria Pearl, and Williamsport’s Stacey Christy and Haley Wolff.
