Tyrus Fleetwood had 17 points and seven rebounds to lead St. Maria Goretti to a Baltimore Catholic League win over Loyola.
Martin Geben had 10 points, six rebounds and five blocks for the Gaels (12-7, 3-4).

FREDERICK, Md. — Alex Cosner had 13 points and 14 rebounds and was named tournament MVP as Heritage Academy beat New Life in the championship game of the Oriole Classic at Maryland School for the Deaf on Saturday.
Ben Cosner had 22 points and 13 rebounds and Bryce Nigh had nine points and nine assists for the Eagles (8-1). Both were named to the all-tournament team.
Chris Harrell added 18 points for Heritage. Austin Brown led New Life with 27 points.

Gorretti sweeps three meets
SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. — Keeley Scott broke the Shepherd University pool record in the 100-yard backstroke — a mark that she held — in 1:06.93 on Saturday to lead St. Maria Goretti to a sweep of a quad meet.
The Gaels (4-1) defeated Musselman 47-20, Washington 65-28 and Hampshire 76-18 as Scott won two events.
She also won the 200 individual medley in 2:31,31.
Emma Whelan also won two events, the 50 free in 27.66 seconds and the 100 free in 1:01.57.
Also winning events were Brianna Whelan (100 breast, 1:24.78) and Amanda Meinschein (200 free, 2:17.84). The Gaels also swept three relay events (200 medley relay, 2:17:28; 200 free relay, 1:56.40; and 400 free relay, 4:15.41).

Goretti sweeps three meets
SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. — Patrick Jones won two events to lead St. Maria Goretti (4-1) to a quad meet sweep on Saturday at Shepherd University.
Jones won the 200-yard free (2:02.77) and the 500 free (5:39.60) while Eric Pino won the 100 free in 56.54 seconds.
The Gaels defeated Mussleman 57-35, Washington 50-35 and Hampshire 66-33.
Goretti also won two relays, the 200 free (1:39.92) and the 400 free (3:45.44).

Nelson scores ace
Darrell Nelson, of Clear Spring, carded a hole-in-one on the 136-yard second hole at Black Rock Golf Course on Sunday, using a gap wedge.
It was the second career ace for Nelson, who has been playing for 33 years.
Denny Sweigert, Chip Paul and Joe Casteel were his playing partners.
