St. John’s Catholic Prep 54, Mercersburg Academy 28
FREDERICK, Md. – Mercersburg trailed 19-17 at halftime but St. John’s Catholic Prep pulled away in the third quarter with a 19-0 run which proved to be the difference in the game.
Hanna Warfield had seven points, Teal Tasker had six points and nine rebounds and Melody Gomez had six points and six steals for the Blue Storm (9-1), who shot 12 of 30 from the free throw line.

HANCOCK — Hancock outscored Hyndman 29-17 in the second half and avenged an earlier 65-36 loss.
Alisa Shives had 14 points and four assists, Kara McKinley scored nine of her 11 points from beyond the arc and added eight rebounds, Kristen Shoemaker had nine points, five assists and 11 steals and Joan Leavy had 11 points and seven rebounds for the Panthers (11-5).

FREDERICK, Md. — South Hagerstown rallied late in the fourth quarter to force overtime but Frederick prevailed with an advantage at the foul line on Tuesday.
The Rebels (8-4) lost starters Devon King and Xavier Freeman to personal fouls.
King led South with 16 points, Kevin Henson had 15, Michael Hill scored 11 and Freeman added 10.
Frederick (7-5) took 36 trips to the foul line, converting 18.

Josh Sanders scored 19 points to surpass 1,000 for his career and lead Cumberland Valley Christian past Grace Academy in the Mason Dixon Christian Conference on Tuesday.

Hakeem Long had 11 points and six steals, Harrison Barger had three 3-pointers and Ed Booth had 15 rebounds, six blocks and four steals for the Knights (2-9, 0-7).

BRIEF
Little League rules clinics
The Maryland District 1 Little League rules clinics for baseball and softball will be held each Tuesday from Feb. 5 to March 5 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Church of Christ, 19644 Leitersburg Pike in Hagerstown.
The clinics are free for any Little League umpires, managers and league officials. Topics of discussion will cover basic rules and new rules, including new penalties for illegal bats, pitch count changes and new regulations for softball bats.
