HIGHTSTOWN, N.J. — Hun School broke away from Mercersburg Academy after a close first quarter for a quarterfinal win in the Mid-Atlantic Prep League tournament at Peddie School.
Melody Gomez led Mercersburg (13-7) with 11 points, 10 rebounds and four steals. Sarah Firestone scored 10 points and Teal Taker had eight points, eight rebounds and five assists.
Mercersburg will face Peddie School in the consolation round this morning at 10.
