HCC 7-7, Alfred State 4-2
Tanner Partlow threw a complete game with seven strikeouts in the second game of Hagerstown Community College’s doubleheader sweep of Alfred State.
Tyler Walter and Garrett Sprankle each had two hits and an RBI, while Drew DeShong and Dylan Dunn drove in two runs apiece for the Hawks (3-1) in the second game.
In the first game, Cooper Ayres had three hits and two RBIs and Jordan Nicewarner drove in three runs for HCC. DeShong and Dunn each had two hits.

Millersville 12-1, Shepherd 1-6
SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. — Ryan Messina hit a grand slam to cap Shepherd University’s five-run sixth inning of the nightcap to hand Millersville a loss for a doubleheader split on Saturday at Fairfax Field. The Marauders won 12-1 in opener.
Chad Murphy had an RBI double in the first and a run-scoring single in the sixth for the Rams (2-6).
James Buchanan graduate Josh McCauley allowed a run while striking out 10 over 6 2/3 innings for the Rams.
In the opener, Jeff Heisey went 2-for-4 with five RBIs, including a grand slam in a nine-run fifth, to lead Millersville.
